The Role YOU will Play:This company is currently seeking Tax Accountants on different levels and various expertise in the public accounting industry. You will be working in a team environment and interacting with a variety of clients.
Maintain confidentiality in all client mattersPrepare basic tax returnsPrepare estimated tax payments for individuals and businesses entitiesResearch tax issues of minimal complexityRespond to less complex IRS noticesSeek an understanding of the client's businessDevelop ability to identify ethical, independence and/or conflict issues, refers to management immediatelyUtilize and develop a basic understanding and working knowledge of various tax programs and/or requisite software and internal workflow/proceduresFollow established business processes and practicesProduce quality work products in accordance with taxing authorities, GAAP, and firm policies and proceduresShow interest in and may engage in community events and activities including networking and recruiting opportunities, firm-sponsored or otherwiseBackground Profile:
B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university (Accounting or Business Economics Major preferred), or actively pursuing a professional certificate from an accredited school or university.
Have knowledge of IRS Circular 230 Regulations Governing the Practice of Attorneys, Certified Public Accountants, Actuaries.Enrolled Agents Before the IRS and the AICPA Professional Code of Conduct preferred.Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail are a must.
