Required immediately, our
local Kent branch is seeking a TEAM of
LONG HAUL TRUCK DRIVERS. This is a full time position (Monday thru Thursday) that will be mostly local driving with some long haul driving to Canada.POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for transporting countertops to and from branches and suppliers in accordance with their set route. This could include locations inside and outside Canada or the United States.
Desired Skills & Experience:Must have and maintain
Current Class A commercial driver's license and be forklift certifiedHigh School Diploma or equivalency1-2 years of experience of long-haul driving1 year of experience with step deck, double drop or flatbed freight requiredKnowledge of highway and road regulationsCurrent Passport and able to travel between the US and CanadaValid work permitAbility to operate a ForkliftBasic math skillsMust be able to lift 100lbs assistedAble to drive for long extensive periods of timeMust have a clean driving record and a clear criminal recordDuties and Responsibilities:Safely operates flatbed, semi-truck to transport countertops in a long-haul settingFollows set trip route and reports on location as requiredSets route schedule 4 days on 3 days offSafely operates a forklift, certification is a mustLoads and unloads cargoRecords cargo deliveriesRefuels and cleans vehicle to maintain proper maintenance and housekeeping standards in vehicleReports road incidents to supervisorFollows traffic lawsFollows accident procedures if necessaryMaintains all paperwork associated with trips and turnover to supervisor at end of shiftReports mechanical problems to maintenance personnelPlans routes using GPS systemMaintains a positive attitude with customersCommercial driver’s license must be kept up to date at all timesRegular out-of-town and overnight travel throughout Canada and USAOther duties as assignedFLOFORM is proud to offer the successful candidate:
