Job Summary:

The individual in this position will be responsible for filing DRB's Income Tax filing and be an integral member of the Tax Team. This position provides an excellent opportunity for growth - in experience, professionally and within the company.

This internship will start in January 2025 and work part-time into May 2025.

Essential Functions:

Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, the following:

• Analyze financial data to ensure compliance with tax regulations

• Research and interpret laws in Sales Tax.

• Collaborate with our third-party tax advisors.

• Respond to inquiries from tax and other government authorities, where required.

• Assist in any tax audits and any day-to-day information requests.

• Work closely with Senior Tax Manager

• Assist in the reconciliation of tax accounts and preparation of tax reports/returns

• Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Actively enrolled in College/University.

• Currently, pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Data Analyst or related field

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Organized with close attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills

• Willingness to learn and assume additional responsibilities in the tax and accounting areas

• High energy: a can-do attitude when challenges occur.

• Requires close attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.

• Organized and responsible individual who can assume responsibilities for functions and meet deadlines

• Self-motivated, proactive individual who can work independently as well as within a team setting; eager to take on new and challenging assignments

• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to work at least 20 hours a week
