Apprentice Electrician - Fuel Services

D&H United Fueling Solutions, Inc., a fast-growing leader in the petroleum services industry, is looking for experienced, energetic, hardworking Apprentice Electrician in the Oklahoma City area. The primary duties of the Apprentice Electrician are to assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic equipment and fixtures used in the petroleum industry following accepted Best Practices while maintaining excellent safety standards.Benefits offered:Paid time offHealth, Dental and Vision insuranceHealthcare spending or reimbursement accounts such as HSAs or FSAsOther types of insuranceRetirement benefits or accountsSalary-financed low interest employee loansPer diem and hotel will be provided when out of townResponsibilities:Trouble-shoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems or components using the appropriate testing equipment to find and correct the failure.Install conduits, pull wire and make final connections to circuit breakers, petroleum pumps, dispensers, Point of Sale consoles, tank monitors and petroleum lightingInspect electrical system and components to verify compliance with safety requirements, codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements.Verify proper operation of the electrical systemAdvise management, customers, and fellow workmen when hazards are present and when electrical systems are safe to operate.Work with project estimator on material take-off, material cost, and labor allowancesMust be able to use ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, and cable testers to find problems and ensure components are working properlyAbility to use commonly used hand and power tools including screwdrivers, wire strippers, drills, saws, and conduit benders to run and protect wiringMust be willing to travel and work out of town Qualifications:High school diploma or, GED (required)Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required)At least 2 year of Apprentice Electrician experience (required)Oklahoma State Apprentice CardKnowledge of National Electrical CodeStrong communication skills and customer relations skillsBasic computer skillsGood work ethicKnowledge of Class 1, Division 1 wiring a plusStrong industrial background is a plusAbility to:To frequently lift and/or move 75 - 100 poundsWork flexible hours and outside in all types of weather conditionsWork independently and as a member of a teamCreate and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors)Pass security background check and drug screenD&H United is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all state and federal laws.
