Position Summary:

MP Technologies (MPT) is a world-class, nationwide turnkey construction services provider with over 40 years of experience. MP Technologies, LLC is looking for Pipefitters/Fusers with gas construction experience. This long term project - 3 to 5 years. Work locations would include: Annandale, St. Cloud, Brainerd, Big Lake, Becker, Minnesota and more, but must be willing to travel.***Work started in the Spring 2024.

The Pipefitter/Fuser performs the skilled journey-level pipefitter/fuser work required to install, modify, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain new and existing underground gas distribution piping systems and is accountable to safety, quality and productivity standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Construct, install, maintain piping systems, appurtenances, and equipment for gasMaintain knowledge of system operation and study of working drawings and gas standards manualsPerform all work safely and always follows company and customer policies and procedures.Interprets safety data sheets (SDSs) and identifies chemicals using the Hazardous Material Identification.Ensure Preventive Maintenance and Inspection Program of equipment is being performed and recordedRead and follow fusion procedures, product manufacturer instructions, and customer construction standardsJoin piping by means of fusion, electrofusion, or mechanical coupled jointsUse calibrated inspection toolsVerify specifications by performing and recording QA tests & measurements on a wide variety of equipmentResolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specificationsUsing a hand shovel, dig around existing utility structures to prevent damageLoad and unload equipment and materialsPerforming regular maintenance and cleaning on assigned vehicles and equipmentPaperwork filing and maintenance as neededOther duties and responsibilities as assignedEssential Education and Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s LicenseMust obtain a current DOT Health CardAbility to withstand prolonged periods of standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and feeling, crouching, and crawling and lifting to 50 lbs.Join and maintain union membershipSuccessful completion of OQ trainingMaintain technical licensePreferred Skills:

Class A Driver’s License (CDL)OSHA 10SWPPP certificate
