Hino Motors Manufacturing is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California.

We are currently seeking a Production Planning & Control Specialist located in Mineral Wells, West Virginia reporting directly to the Production Planning and Control Assistant Manager. This individual will be responsible for administering controls of the Production Control Operations and building teamwork to drive continuous improvement of scheduling processes, control and handling of inventories, and on-time delivery and costs.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage domestic and overseas parts procurement while maintaining inventory at optimum levels.Facilitate setup and ordering of new partsServe as primary point of contact with suppliers for reconciling orders, resolving discrepancies, and expediting ordersLead negotiations with suppliers to ensure required part volume and timing are metAttend videoconferences as requiredManage engineering changes for the lowest obsolescenceAchieve all indicators of success and performance measures for area of responsibilityDemonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System as it applies to their area of responsibilityMaintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresPosition requires office presenceCoordinate design requests with Suppliers.Demonstrates an understanding of quality issues and proactive resolution to the issue.Perform all other duties assignedEducation & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field or equivalent years of related experience is preferredThree years' experience or equivalent education in scheduling/procurement/ production controlExperience with production scheduling or parts procurement is preferredExperience with project management preferredRequired Skills:

Knowledge of plan-making and project evaluationStrong MS Outlook and computer proficiency requiredAdvanced proficiency in ExcelMust be able to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlinesAbility to work in or lead teams throughout decision making processExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to present and explain complex data using visual and graphical representationsMust be willing and able to perform a variety of tasks in support of the short- and long-term goalsDeal effectively with complex and sensitive issuesAbility to think in the abstract and see how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomesHigh level of attention to detailStrong organizational and data management skillsMust be ambitious and able to work independently

Travel Requirements:

Travel up to 15-20%
