Tax Supervisor
for our Marlton, NJ office. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:Prepares intermediate to advanced level returns and reviews basic tax returnsPossesses advanced technical knowledge of accounting standards and reporting standards in researching, completing and reviewing technical areasAddresses questions on technical accounting matters from team members and upper level client managementPerforms a detailed review of team's workflow and monitors tasks to ensure they are assigned and completed on a timely basisManages multiple assignments inside an engagementCommunicates with Partner, Manager and/or Supervising Senior on work status and client issues that ariseAdvanced knowledge of applicable accounting software (e.g. ProSystem Engagement, Tax, etc.)Participates in planning and execution of client engagement in collaboration with the Manager and/or Partner on the jobIdentifies opportunities to leverage staff including designing staffing structure of engagementLeads small to medium sized assignments with finalized document and report requiring minimal change upon reviewTrains and mentors lower level staffTakes a lead role in client and team meetings and contributes new ideas and strategic initiativesMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree with a preferred field in Accounting4+ years of relevant work and industry experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsWorks independently and also works well with othersPreferred QualificationsCPA License or on track to obtainMaster's degree in Taxation or AccountingSoftware Experience - CCH ProSystem, Microsoft Office 365Equal Opportunity EmployerMarcum LLP is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status, or any other characteristic protected by law.#LI-AM1Marcum LLP is an Equal Opportunity Employer
