:The Corporate Tax Manager will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of the company's operations, with a specific focus on tax compliance. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, developing and implementing strategies to mitigating financial risks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in finance, accounting, and taxation, as well as excellent analytical, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Tax Compliance and Planning:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, including income tax, franchise tax, sales tax, and property tax.Manage processes with third parties, review and approve tax filings and payments for accurate and timely reporting, including corporate income, franchise, property, sales & use, and other regulatory filings.Manage the preparation of the income tax provision for annual financial statements.Conduct tax research and analysis to identify opportunities for tax savings and optimization.Manage transfer pricing planning and studies.Collaborate with external tax advisors and legal counsel to develop and implement tax planning strategies.Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on tax-related matters, including financial reporting and transactional tax implications.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including cash flow forecasts, treasury performance metrics, and tax provisions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and legal, to support business initiatives and decision-making.Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing input on treasury and tax-related matters.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; CPA license required7 years of progressive tax experience preferably in the consumer goods or food industryFederal Tax compliance & planning: Tax provision (ASC 740) experience
requiredExperience in consolidated returns with multiple locations including international locationsPrepare tax provision for financial statements at consolidated level through SAPIn-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with experience in corporate taxation and international taxUnderstanding of LLC, corporate and & partnership tax codeExperience in transfer pricing and intercompany structuresExcellent analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insightsProven leadership and communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organizationAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
the individual's skill sets, experience and training;licensure and certification requirements;office location and other geographic considerations;other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
