Kubricky Construction Corp., a leader in today’s heavy civil construction industry is looking for dedicated Pipe Layers for water, sewer, and storm lines who are willing to commit their service towards creating an efficient and innovative environment in a fast-growing, dynamic industry. Essential functions of the position:

Perform a variety of tasks that will include having to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, stretch, walk, climb and bend under potentially adverse field conditions and be able to perform visual tasks such as back up spotting and hear and react to back up alarms, per safety protocol

Job functions will include but are not limited to:

Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing

Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers

Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement or glue

Cover pipes with earth or other materials

Cut pipe to required lengths

Dig trenches to desired or required depths by hand or using trenching tools

Grade and level trench bases, using equipment and hand tools

Install and repair sanitary and stormwater sewer structures and pipe systems

Lay out pipe routes following written instructions or blueprints and coordinating layouts with Forepersons and supervisors

Attention to safety rules and regulations is a must

Qualifications:

A high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience

Three years of pipe laying experience

Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to report to work on time

Must be willing to travel to jobsites in possible remote locations

Must have reliable and punctual attendance

Must be able to pass pre-hire drug screen (Drug Free Employer)

Current OSHA 10 card holders preferred

Experience safely and efficiently operating equipment on site including bulldozers, excavators, loaders and graders

Ability to orally communicate with all workers and representatives on job site

Base salary range:

Pipe Layer

$41,600-$87,500

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
