Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to manage Nokia's tax projects in US, reporting directly to Head of Tax, NAM.
Responsibilities
As part of the team, you will:Efficiently manage and optimize outsourced federal and state income tax compliance processesDevelop and implement effective tax strategies to enhance the organization's tax positions, identify and mitigate risks associated with US tax mattersProvide support to the business through sales mode deviation requests, contract setup and risk analysis in new business cases/tenders, and offering tax guidance during the RFP processAssist the Tax Planning Director in M&A tax projects and international tax initiativesProactively monitor and assess the impact of changes in tax legislationDevelop and execute tax audit and litigation strategies, including aiding in tax disputesContribute to the preparation and review of quarterly IFRS reporting for income taxesEnsure compliance with SOX controls by adhering to process and documentation requirements.Assist with managing withholding tax complianceNote: No relocation or sponsorship offered for this role
Qualifications
You have:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administrationMaster's degree or CPA designation preferredAt least 5 years of tax experience in Big 4 or multinational companiesDeep knowledge of tax legislation and practices in corporate income tax related topics within an international environment, and an understanding of the principles of financial reportingExperience in leading and collaborating within multifunctional teams, independently managing cross-organizational projects and tasksExcellent communication and analytical skillsProficiency in MS Office applicationsEffective project management skillsAbout Us
