Income Tax Accountant
will be responsible for the preparation of the company's federal and state income tax returns. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, a problem solver, and will have exceptional communication skills. If you are a budding corporate tax expert that loves to learn this could be the job for you! This hands-on role will report to the VP, Head of Tax.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare the federal and state tax returns, working with Tax Manager and VP of TaxPrepare and Maintain quarterly and annual tax provisions including tracking deferred tax balances and maintaining detailed reconciliationsPreparation of tax provision in the OneSource Tax Provision systemCalculate and post monthly tax entry and reconciliation of tax accountsCalculate book/tax differences such as depreciation, Unicap, and accrued liabilitiesMake tax paymentsCalculate, Review, and coordinate payments for multiple statesPrepare amended returns when necessaryStay up to date on federal and state tax codes, compliance and procedures for consolidated corporationsMonitor and respond to tax authority communicationsAdditional duties as assignedRequirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's Degree in Accounting or Tax preferred)Certified Public AccountantMinimum of 3+ years of tax experience with Income Tax in a public accounting firm or corporationExperience with OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision SoftwareFamiliarity with Tax Research ToolsHighly motivated self-starter, ability to work independentlyExceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteAdvanced Excel SkillsExperience with ASC 740 preferredAbility to work on-site at our office in Irving, TXBenefits
