FABRICATION TECH 2 - TUMBLING/BLACK OXIDE 2nd Shift Check-Mate Manufacturing has openings position for Fabrication Tech 2 - Tumble/Black Oxide. This position is responsible for ensuring that the metal tubes used in the assembly of the firearm magazines are properly coated on materials such ferrous materials, stainless steel, copper and copper-based alloys, powdered metals and silver solder. Black Oxide is used to add mild corrosion resistance, for appearance and to minimize light reflection. Includes, but may not be limited to the following: BLACK OXIDE /TUMBLING- Fabrication Tech 2 interfaces with controls to start, stop and run equipment. Fabrication Tech 2 ensures that water valves are turned on or off, as needed. Fabrication Tech 2 verifies liquid levels within plating tanks. Fabrication Tech 2 moves racks from one end of the line to the other. Fabrication Tech 2 cleans racks between individual plating tanks. Fabrication Tech 2operates overhead equipment to move parts between tanks. Fabrication Tech 2 keeps up with established times that parts are in each tank. Fabrication Tech 2 keeps work area cleaned up and floors washed. Fabrication Tech 2 loads plating part racks, based on schedule (Approximately 500 parts/rack). Fabrication Tech 2 ensures safe mounting of racks before rack is moved to plating tanks. Fabrication Tech 2 unloads plated parts racks and ensure good plating quality. Fabrication Tech 2 informs dip plating operator of poor plating issues. Fabrication Tech 2 able to run the plating dip process, with input on the variable dip time tanks: Acid tank can vary from 2 to 5 minutes, Black Oxide tank can vary from 10 to 15 minutes. Fabrication Tech 2 makes adjustments in time and chemistry, based on posted instructions. Fabrication Tech 2 assists in the addition of chemicals to the tanks, as instructed. Fabrication Tech 2 assists in the cleaning and replenishment of plating tanks, including the rinse tanks, as instructed. Fabrication Tech 2 maintains the general cleanliness of the Black Oxide plating area. Fabrication Tech 2 performs all tasks in a safe manner. Fabrication Tech 2 logs into and move parts within PLEX. Fabrication Tech 2 Inspects in-process fabricated parts. Fabrication Tech2 operates tumbler/Black Oxide stations. Fabrication Tech 2 must meet productivity and waste standards. Fabrication Tech 1 performs visual Inspection of components for defects and cosmetic issues. Fabrication Tech 2 maintains work flow with no or minimum interruptions. Fabrication Tech 2 is responsible for cleanliness and orderliness of work environment. Fabrication Tech 2 promotes team work and willingness to help others. Fabrication Tech 2 commits to quality and accuracy of work performed. Fabrication Tech 2 is responsible for following established safety procedures. Fabrication Tech 2 Inspects in-process fabricated parts. Fabrication Tech 2 operates tumbler, station and performs tumbling applications. Fabrication Tech 2 must meet productivity and waste standards. Fabrication Tech 2 performs visual Inspection of magazine components for defects and cosmetic issues. Fabrication Tech 1 maintains work flow with no or minimum interruptions. Fabrication Tech 1 is responsible for cleanliness and orderliness of work environment. Fabrication Tech 1 promotes team work and willingness to help others. Fabrication Tech 1 commits to quality and accuracy of work performed. Fabrication Tech 1 is responsible for following established safety procedures.
