About the Pipe Supervisor position:As a Pipe Supervisor at Brubacher, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage all underground pipe installation activities, including personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, in accordance with established company policies, contractual obligations, prints and specifications, rules, and regulations. The Pipe Supervisor will train and supervise Brubacher employees to foster safe, high-quality work, great customer relations, and profitability for Brubacher Excavating, Inc. Working knowledge of trench safety, protective systems, equipment, soils science, work force, and materials capabilities is required. Qualified candidates must also be familiar with sanitary, storm, and waterline applications.Responsibilities include: Training, supervising, disciplining, coaching, and effectively managing assigned personnel on job sites Reviewing plans and blueprints, contract terms and conditions, and specifications, to efficiently and effectively execute high quality work in the most cost-effective sequence and manner Reading and computing grades and setting grades from cut sheets Accurately calculating quantities Providing input for value added engineering (less expensive and/or more efficient ways of doing things) Addressing customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner Maintaining positive relations with municipal and regulatory agencies Education & Experience: At least 5 years "hands on" experience covering all duties and responsibilities associated with all types of pipe and installation Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience The ability to successfully coordinate schedules and meet budget Basic computer and mathematical skills The ability to read and interpret blue prints & contracts Strong communication skills Benefits Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Retirement Plan (401k, IRA) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D) Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays) Training & Development Wellness Resources
