Position Purpose:
The Corporate Communications Sr. Specialist position offers a highly motivated individual the opportunity to experience multiple facets of communications within the internal communications team responsible for executing the company’s internal enterprise editorial strategy and managing the intranet site. This is not an entry-level position. Responsibilities include identifying, pitching and executing associate and business stories, working on tight deadlines, maintaining an editorial process and calendar, managing multiple stakeholders, and measurement and reporting. The Sr. Specialist must have strong editorial decision making along with exceptional writing and editing skills in order to produce content aligned to company brand and style guidelines, as well as occasional stories for the company's external, corporate newsroom.
Key Responsibilities:
30% Researching/writing intranet site content
20% Supporting the management of the internal enterprise editorial process and calendar
20% Supporting enterprise communications campaigns and initiatives
15% Respond to various stakeholders’ requests via the enterprise intake form
15% Measurement, analysis and reporting of content and campaign performance
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
Reports to a Sr Mgr, Corporate Communications
Travel Requirements:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic responsibilities include writing and editing internal content. The Sr. Specialist will also require a high level of organization to manage team processes, deadlines and stakeholders.
Minimum Education:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
