About the Role:

LHH has partnered with a forward-thinking organization in Sacramento, CA, to find an experienced and dynamic Information Technology Applications Analyst III for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and oversee the work of technical teams, guiding them through complex projects that are critical to the organizations success.

As an Information Technology Applications Analyst III, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing the work of staff engaged in advanced, specialized tasks. You will utilize your technical expertise to analyze complex business processes, design and develop applications, and ensure that projects are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures. This role requires a deep understanding of systems processes, a strong ability to lead teams, and significant independent judgment.

Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership:

Lead, plan, and oversee the work of staff performing advanced technical tasks, ensuring projects align with organizational goals and deadlines.Project Management:

Apply advanced principles of project management to analyze workflows, develop applications, and oversee project lifecycles from inception to completion.Application Development:

Utilize complex programming theories and principles to design, develop, test, and implement software solutions that meet business needs.Database Design:

Engage in relational database design, ensuring integration and optimization of database structures.Business Analysis:

Work closely with users to define, analyze, and document system and user requirements, translating them into functional system design specifications.Troubleshooting:

Test and troubleshoot applications, recommending and implementing effective solutions for complex issues.Documentation:

Prepare and maintain clear and complete documentation related to procedures, processes, and system configurations.Collaboration:

Communicate technical information effectively across various levels of the organization, identifying opportunities for business process and system improvements.Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.Experience:

A minimum of 3 years of full-time, paid experience in application development, business systems analysis, programming, and/or database administration/analysis.Technical Skills:

Proficiency in complex programming languages, advanced SQL theories, web application development, and multiple operating systems. Experience with relational database design and software tools is essential.Leadership Abilities:

Proven experience in leading teams through all phases of IT projects, with strong skills in team building, conflict resolution, and effective communication.Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical abilities to conduct independent research, develop technological solutions, and make appropriate recommendations related to complex IT challenges.General Qualifications:

Background Check:

Candidates must be able to pass a background check, which may include criminal history, reference checks, and verification of education and professional licenses.License:

A valid California Drivers License (Class C or higher) may be required.Physical Requirements:

$49.00 to $62.00 per hour
