QUALITY INSPECTOR

Role Summary/Purpose:

Ensure the parts and components of aircraft equipment conform to design specifications and meet industry standards. Interact directly with Aircraft Parts Technicians, customer engine sites, airline customers, engineering, and quality regarding technical issues.

Essential Responsibilities:Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to customers, engineering, production, and quality.Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs.Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.Qualifications / Skills:

High school diploma / GEDOne to two years related experience or trainingMust be authorized to work in the United StatesExperience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instrumentsRequires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language: interpret and follow written procedures, etc., complete documentation, i.e. routers, etc., and follow verbal instructionsBasic math, computer skills, attention to detail; Hand/eye coordination and analytic skillsDocumentation and Reporting skillsNear Vision: 20/25 (Snellen) at 16” (42 cm) ± 1” (2.54 cm) or equivalent in at least one eye, natural or corrected is required.
