Enterprise Data Steward Principal | Hybrid

Location: ****Minneapolis, MN, US, 55416-1297**What you do:**The Lead Enterprise Data Steward role will be a key contributor to define and shape the data governance organization for Allianz Life, ensuring that business units and IT are educated in governance activities. This will include defining workflows, project engagement, data policies and data quality standards. This role will be responsible for ensuring a small enterprise data governance team is effective at integrating and communicating data governance needs across the enterprise.* Establish and govern an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for development of information-based capabilities* Maintain the enterprise-wide data governance framework with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organizational behavior, policies, standards, program metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture* Data stewards are responsible for identifying golden sources of data sets and guiding users and application development to use these* Data stewards will help to create and maintain data lineage allowing users to trace data reliably to the point of origin and pinpoint any quality problems in the data pipelines* Serve as a liaison between Business, Domains and Technology to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning* Provide recommendations and supporting documentation for new or proposed data standards, business rules and policy (in conjunction with the appropriate Data & Analytics governing bodies)* Coordinate across the organization with fellow Data Stewards on strategic initiatives, in order to maintain consistency of Allianz operational and analytical data across change portfolio* Accountable for ensuring that data-centric activities are aligned with the data office program and leverage applicable data standards, governance processes, and overall best practices* Maintain the single set of enterprise-level data standards & repository of key elements pertaining to their in-scope data domain, and promoting their use throughout the organization* Work across project portfolio to ensure that any data related changes and dependencies are identified communicated and managed to ensure adherence with the Data Governance established standards* Act as a privacy liaison to identify, solution, and execute privacy matters**What you bring:*** 4+ years working within a data governance organization as a data steward or data analyst* Two-year degree required**What we offer:**At Allianz Life, were proud to provide a benefits package that supports the True Balance of our employees and their families.
