Summary:

2nd shift, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

3rd shift, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM

This position reports directly to the Quality Control Supervisor. This is an hourly position in which overtime may be required as determined and approved by the Quality Manager. There may be other responsibilities when required in addition to those listed.

Assure products meet Atlantis' and customers specifications and expectations by inspecting in process and finished goods, recording results, stopping production should the quality of the part not be able to be maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

InspectionInspect incoming parts by confirming specifications according to procedures/instructions; rejecting unacceptable materials and noting on inspection sheet (the Material Handler and Shipping/Receiving department has the authority to inspect and approve resin)Approve in process and finished products (including re-work) by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to Production Supervisor and/or ProcessorsNotify the Quality Control Supervisor of any nonconforming or out of specification dimensions for action planPerform First Piece Inspection for start-up, re-release, shutdownWork with Processor to achieve acceptable partsAssist operator to clarify acceptable and reject partsAuthority to stop production to correct any quality problemsProvide all appropriate samples for start of production (retain and go/no go samples)Prepare retain samples, first shot and last shot samplesKeep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and logs daily usage of equipmentEnsure nonconforming product is segregated and placed in MRB physically and entered in IQMS and properly identified to prevent intermingling with conforming product.Maintain lot control by recording lot numbers on work orders, inspection reports and other applicable recordsMaintain go and no-go samples to ensure proper condition and relevancyMaintain retain samples, first shot and last shot samplesRecords and Documentation

Maintain incoming inspection, standard inspection and calibration files as requiredPrepare customer required quality documentation for Shipping as requiredDocument inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into IQMSSupervisory Responsibilities:

Ability to interpret part prints, quality plans, work instructionsAdept at working with Office software including Word, Excel and database inputAbility to work with calipers, CMM, vision System, scalesEducation and/or Experience:

High school Diploma or equivalent required1-3 years quality control experience preferredMathematical Skills:
