A Brief Overview

The VP Sales and Marketing will oversee the day-to-day business operations of the Ontario Reign-AHL departments inclusive but not limited to tickets sales, marketing, event planning, customer outreach, partnerships and communications. Additionally, this role will be responsible for creating and executing the annual business plan and strategy to surpass all revenue targets. This role will work to build and scale the operations of the company, focusing on delivery excellence, customer experience and financial performance.

What you will do

Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies aligned with the team's overall goals. Identify new revenue streams, business opportunities, and market trends to meet annual revenue goals.Responsible for the strategy/vision/implementation of new ticket sales programs and products with the intention of maximizing sales revenue and increasing fans. Actively monitor competitive pricing and market changes to optimize pricing, margins, and inventory turns.Drive revenue growth through ticket sales, partnerships, sponsorships, merchandise, and other monetization avenues. Develop and maintain strong relationships with sponsors and partners to maximize revenue potential.Enhance fan engagement initiatives, creating memorable experiences for fans both at games and through digital platforms. Develop marketing and promotional campaigns to increase fan attendance and loyalty.Directly manage Communications department, to facilitate, broadcast, public relations and digital content. To engage our fans where they are.Work with SVP of Global Partnerships in order to increase accountability of the Reign specific GP reps to ensure that goals are hit within the market.Utilize market research, data analysis, CRM and BI systems, industry trends, internal team insights, and regular customer interactions to drive informed decisions and continuous improvement.Grow and lead a team of management professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Serve as your team's leading coach and mentor, leveraging internal and external training resources to ensure best practices are implanted across all functions.Serve as the primary contact for hockey operations to maximize player and staff development by ensuring that Toyota Arena is up to the maximum playing standards for field of play and back of house.Work with AHL league office, LA Kings hockey operations and Toyota arena to produce the AHL regular season schedule, the Calder Cup playoff schedule, special events and team ticket member functions.Regularly meet with LA Kings ticket sales and marketing departments to share best practice.Education QualificationsBA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred)Experience Qualifications6-8 years A minimum of 7 years of related work experienceSkills and AbilitiesExperience leading, mentoring, and managing a team of employeesDemonstrates or has prior sales management experience/knowledgePrior experience using ticketing software (AXS, Veritix)Proven ability to create a viable ticketing strategyHighly organized, resourceful, detail oriented, quick learnerAbility to prioritize and delegate workload and solve problems quickly and efficientlyAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAssertive, self-motivated, self-starter, with the ability to work under minimal supervisionAbility to professionally handle highly sensitive and confidential informationProficient in Microsoft Outlook Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to learn required business systemsAbility to professionally communicate and interact with all levels of managementAvailability to work nights, all events, weekends and holidaysHockey knowledge a plus

Pay scale: $133,252 - $140,000
