We focus on quality of care and aim to provide each patient with ample time to speak to our NP's to diagnose illness. Our organization has been well actively expanding out care model for over 65 years and we provide mental health treatment services to over 4,000 New Yorkers every year. You would be working in the Bronx or Manhhattan and treating patients suffering from various forms of substance abuse disorders, trauma, and serious chronic mental illness. Title: Psychiatric Nurse PractitionerLocation: Bronx NY and ManhattanSalary: $145,000 to $155,000 + full benefits Responsibilities:Performing psychiatric evaluations and medication management of mostly adult patientsWork in a group to accurately help a large percentage of community based/ homeless patientsReferring patients out if they need higher levels of treatmentOrders lab tests and interprets resultsProvides patient with education on mental illnessMust collaborate with a team of medical Providers to ensure complete care to everyoneReview medical history and prescribe medication accordinglyInvolved in team meetings and interaction with social workersProviding some crisis intervention servicesRequirements:Must be board certified or board eligible Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)Active or in process DEA license requiredActive or in process New York State PMHNP licenseStrong work ethicGraduate of accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner ProgramQualificationsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
