Job Description
The Construction Estimator will be responsible for:
Be responsible for reviewing and understanding all aspects of construction documents for Commercial, Academic, Hospitality, Retail, Healthcare markets & moreAct as a liaison between client and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and budgets are providedPerform takeoffs and develop conceptual budgets utilizing past dataDevelop, communicate, and understand the company's pricing strategyCultivate and maintain relationships with potential/ current clients and subcontractorsUtilize Construction scheduling software to detail milestones in the pre-construction scheduleObtain the best pricing for materials and bids from subcontractsDevelop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontracts, etcMaintain the Estimating Coordinator to publish RFPs to subcontractorServe as a mentor to Estimating Coordinator(s)MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
The ideal Construction Estimator will have:
BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related preferred3-5+ years of commercial estimating experience with a General ContractorExperience estimating commercial construction in one of the following markets (or related): Academic, Healthcare, Life Science, Hospitality, Retail, etcAble to be successful in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work under tight time lines to hit project deadlinesExperience with Excel, Planswift, Procore, On Screen, and/or BluebeamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsWhat's on Offer
The Construction Estimator will receive:
