PrideStaff in Southfild is seeking Applications Engineer for a company located in Wixom Michigan.POSITION PURPOSE:Provide professional Applications training and technical support for machinetool installation, breakdowns, quality, reliability and product performanceensuring the equipment conforms to company operating specifications andcustomer requirements.Key Accountabilities

Machine Tool Demonstration

Operates application software to manufacture and/or re-sharpen tools/cutters to specification for customer tests and machine runoff/acceptanceIn full collaboration with Salesman, effectively and practically demonstrate machine tool functionality and features to customersDemonstrate mastery of products at Regional trade exhibitionsDemonstrate mastery of products at customer premise to support potential sales.Promptly and accurately responds to customer (internal/external) sales queries relating to machine tool:

Attributes/functionalityPerformanceThe manufacture of customer cutters/tools

Provide technical inputs when compiling sales tendersProvide reports Customer visits including new and proposed customer technical development and needsResponsible for maintaining a clean, working Demonstration and Applications storage rooms:

Includes all activities within these roomsResponsible for all equipment in these roomsEnsure 5S standards within these rooms, which includes directing other staff to staff to maintain these standards whilst occupying these roomsEnsure rooms are properly maintained (i.e. tool boxes, workstations etc.)

Training (Customer & Staff)

Conduct operator/engineer training on NC Entry & NC Part ProgrammingConduct operator/engineer training on applications software and machine tool operationConduct engineer training on "how to" Demonstrate technologiesActively promote and sell trainingProvide technical inputs to training material developmentProvide technical training to dealers and agents as requiredDetermine the needs of the trainee and develop and implement training interventions to satisfy that need. At customer site or the Grinding Centre, use experiential and formal learning methods to ensure that trainees are able to:

Operate simulator to set up machine for running productionSet up & run production manufacturing tools/cutters to quality standardsTroubleshoot software & machine tool operational problems

Improve customer productivity using our technologyArticulate tool & grinding wheel nomenclatureContinue to develop new and special tools
