PeaceHealth is seeking a Telecom Support Engineer for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $40.22 - $60.34. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Addresses PeaceHealth Telecommunication issues including managing the acquisition, installation, configuration, coordination, monitoring and on-going maintenance of the PeaceHealth-wide telecommunications system. Anticipates issues in service and equipment and recommends solutions.

Must live within a one hour commute to a main PeaceHealth facility in Oregon, Washington or Alaska.

Details of the Position:

Plans, designs, implements and manages all traditional voice and VOIP technologies and services in a 24x7 high availability environment.Ensures system integrity and security for all voice systems.Oversees complex projects, develops requests for proposals, evaluates vendor products and make recommendations for selection.Resolves system outages and degraded service by working with internal technical staff and vendor support.Analyzes and coordinates telecommunication needs based on customer requirements and organizational needs and directions. Ensures voice systems and processes are properly documented and executed. Install, repair, and troubleshoot customer service orders.Maintains, implements, and documents a system wide dial plan.Researches current and emerging technology, and recommends cost effective hardware, software and circuit solutions to link PeaceHealth facilities and locations in the furtherance of building a common telecommunications platform throughout PeaceHealth.Monitors, reports and manages performance of assigned telecommunications components. Responsible for maintaining performance and call quality for all Telecommunications platforms.Leads deployment / integration of VOIP technology across PeaceHealth networks.Coordinates and collaborates with Networking on WAN circuit demand/capacity planning and quality of service.Provides technical direction to Telecom Analysts and creates and presents training to end-users.Performs other duties as assigned.What You Bring:

Education

Associate Degree Required: or related field, or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experienceExperience

Minimum of 5 years Required: Recent experience required with design, implementation, and support of Avaya Aura core systems including Communication Manager (CM), System Manager (SMGR), Session Manager (SM), Call Management System (CMS), and Messaging (AAM) andPreferred: Experience with PuTTY, DOS command line, packet sniffers, TraceSM, and Linux command line andPreferred: Experience with Linux command line interface, TraceSM, Wireshark, and other resources used to troubleshoot communication issues andPreferred: Experience with other communication solutions including Avaya Workforce Optimization (WFO), Interactive Voice Response (IVR), Application Enablement Services (AES), Vocera, remote workers, virtualization, SIP and SIP trunking, Session Border Controllers (SBC), unified messaging, attendant consoles, and soft-clients. andPreferred: Experience organizing and managing detailed information and working with and leading teams in project deployment and troubleshooting efforts andPreferred: Clinical or healthcare experienceCredentials

Thorough understanding required of voice-related protocols, codecs, and APIs. (Required)Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications (Visio, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
