**Buyer****Location:** San Jose, California, United States ****Job Summary:****Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Buyer who is energetic and detail-oriented to support our fast growing organization. This position will be a member of the dynamic Purchasing team in the companys headquarters located in San Jose, CA.****Essential Duties and Responsibilities:****The responsibilities will include, but not limited to:* Board level components Global Supply Management including material management, supply chain management, price negotiation and pass down price to Asia CMSupport and work with engineering team/PM on the new product development(NPI) including design in support and materials planningDaily interface with engineering, production, vendors, & contract manufacturers for open objectivesUnderstand core materials/value and negotiate competitive quotation based on product specificationMonitor US/Asia CM planning and work with supplier/distributor and CM for planning & inventory managementSupport production team to align vendors/FAE/PE/RMA resources for any quality issueLong lead time & unique components managementMonitor EOL/PCN/PDN to manage product life at data base and support LTB/LTB management/controlAll of above not limited to but as assigned****Qualifications:***** Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business major background preferred* Minimum of 3 years materials management, procurement and supply chain experience preferred* Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities* Skilled in coordinating and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.* Good interpersonal and presentation skills* Advanced Excel skills* Able to function in a very fast paced environment and can adapt to changes quickly* Extremely detail-oriented and self-driven****Physical Requirements:****The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and armsLift, carry, push and pull in excess of 25 poundsOccasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb and balance
