The Manager of Institutional Giving will play a critical role in driving the financial sustainability of the Accounting Aid Society by managing and growing the organization's institutional funding portfolio. This position is responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate, foundation, and government funders. Additionally, the Manager will manage contracts, monitor grant compliance, and ensure that all reporting requirements are met. This role requires collaboration with the Director of Development, leadership team, and program staff to align funding opportunities with organizational priorities and needs.

Institutional Fundraising Strategy:

Develop and implement a comprehensive institutional fundraising strategy, focusing on foundations, corporations, and government agencies.Identify and research potential funding sources to align with the Accounting Aid Society's mission and programs.Collaborate with the Director of Development and leadership team to establish fundraising goals and strategies.Grant Writing, Management, and Monitoring:

Write and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports to institutional funders.Manage a portfolio of institutional funders, ensuring timely submission of proposals, renewals, and reports.Monitor grant activities and expenditures to ensure compliance with grant agreements, government contracts, and organizational policies.Oversee contract management, ensuring that all grant agreements are fully executed and comply with the terms, conditions and programmatic deliverables.Work with program and finance staff to gather necessary information for proposals and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Maintain open and transparent stewardship practice, in alignment with agency Gift Acceptance Policy.Donor Cultivation, Stewardship, and Prospecting:

Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective institutional funders through regular communication, site visits, and events.Develop and implement stewardship plans to acknowledge and recognize institutional donors, ensuring long-term engagement and support.Conduct ongoing prospect research to identify new institutional funding opportunities and assess their alignment with organizational goals.Research and Data Management:

Conduct research to identify new institutional funding opportunities.Maintain accurate records of institutional donors and prospects in the donor management system, DonorPerfectTrack and analyze fundraising performance metrics, providing regular reports to the Director of Development.Collaboration and Teamwork:

Work closely with program staff to understand program needs and translate them into compelling funding proposals.Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate budgeting and financial reporting for grants.Participate in Development team meetings, contributing to overall fundraising strategies and team success.Other Duties:

Stay current on fundraising trends, best practices, and grant compliance requirements.Represent Accounting Aid Society at community events, meetings, and conferences as needed.Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Development.Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in institutional fundraising, grant writing, contract management, and donor relations, preferably in a nonprofit setting.Skills:

Proven track record of securing grants and institutional funding.Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail.Ability to build and maintain relationships with institutional donors.Knowledge of donor management systems (DonorPerfect or equivalent) and grant management software.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Personal Attributes:
