Senior IT Portfolio Management.
This is an exempt position in support of government customer located in Bethesda, MD. Some remote flexibility at customer's discretion.
Experience RequiredLead projects and drive activities for multiple portfolios and projects of varying size and complexityIT Process and procedures documentation and Technical Writing expertiseExpert knowledge of federal policies for Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC), including Technology Business Management (TBM) and EPLC requirementsAbility to understand requirements and their impact on technical directions of a solutionAbility to maintain professionalism and react to customers appropriately, while exhibiting the highest level of customer serviceAbility to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced development processExpert client management and communication skills with the ability to resolve high visibility issuesPerform Critical Path Analysis (CPA) and actively update the IMS as established in the projects Baseline Control documentation, utilize the IMS to support EVM efforts, perform "What-if" analysis, and report on the best corrective action needed to keep projects on scheduleAbility to develop, document, and ensure adherence to technical standardsExpert documentation, presentation, and communication skills with working teams and senior level management,Reviews work for accuracy and clarity and is able to write effectively and clearlyAbility to multitaskAbility to track and execute on-going compliance obligationsMust be able to communicate effectively and confidently with team members and managementMust be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasksProven experience at driving consensus across multiple stakeholdersProcess driven analysis skills and a background in various requirements elicitation methodsCommitment to responsiveness and achieving tasks on deadlineFlexible team playerQualifications Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Public Trust background clearanceBachelor's degree in a technology related field8+ years of related experience in technology strategy and portfolio managementAgile Development practicesDesired Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written skills.Excellent critical thinking skills.Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookExperience with budgeting and estimation for future program requirementsQuality Certification (ITIL, or other)
