a premier strategic services firm that meets IT and Service needs for commercial and government clients, is seeking full-time
Senior IT Portfolio Management.
This is an exempt position in support of government customer located in Bethesda, MD. Some remote flexibility at customer's discretion.
Experience Required
Lead projects and drive activities for multiple portfolios and projects of varying size and complexity
IT Process and procedures documentation and Technical Writing expertise
Expert knowledge of federal policies for Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC), including Technology Business Management (TBM) and EPLC requirements
Ability to understand requirements and their impact on technical directions of a solution
Ability to maintain professionalism and react to customers appropriately, while exhibiting the highest level of customer service
Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced development process
Expert client management and communication skills with the ability to resolve high visibility issues
Perform Critical Path Analysis (CPA) and actively update the IMS as established in the projects Baseline Control documentation, utilize the IMS to support EVM efforts, perform "What-if" analysis, and report on the best corrective action needed to keep projects on schedule
Ability to develop, document, and ensure adherence to technical standards
Expert documentation, presentation, and communication skills with working teams and senior level management,
Reviews work for accuracy and clarity and is able to write effectively and clearly
Ability to multitask
Ability to track and execute on-going compliance obligations
Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with team members and management
Must be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks
Proven experience at driving consensus across multiple stakeholders
Process driven analysis skills and a background in various requirements elicitation methods
Commitment to responsiveness and achieving tasks on deadline
Flexible team player
Qualifications Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Public Trust background clearance
Bachelor's degree in a technology related field
8+ years of related experience in technology strategy and portfolio management
Agile Development practices
Desired Qualifications :
Excellent oral and written skills.
Excellent critical thinking skills.
Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Experience with budgeting and estimation for future program requirements
Quality Certification (ITIL, or other)
