Branch Warehouse & Delivery Driver**Job Description IT Hardware Technician** **Description** The Hardware Technicians role is to support and maintain in-house technology equipment and IT assets. This includes installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading all company hardware and equipment while ensuring its optimal performance. The individual will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate manner and provide end user training and assistance where required. **Responsibilities** **Essential Job Functions*** First responder to end user hardware and software issues* Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed.* Configure/procure desktop/laptop computers as approved by the IT manager for ATC employees.* Setup, load software, and train end user for all new desktop/laptop computers purchased.* Configure/procure desktop/laptop computers as needed for ATC projects.* Support IT infrastructure as needed (wireless, servers, switches, etc.).* Support the phone system as needed.* Manage network file storage as directed by the IT manager* Accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.* Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future IT hardware needs.* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations.* Conduct research on computer products in support of PC procurement and development efforts. Evaluate and recommend hardware products for purchase.* Write technical specifications for purchase of PCs, networking hardware and related products.* Recommend, schedule, and perform PC, hardware and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs.* Archiving closed projects as directed by the IT Manager* Construct, install, and test customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems.* If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC and PC equipment vendors.**Position Requirements*** Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.* Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.* Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.* Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required.* Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.* Strong written and oral communication skills.* Understanding of the organizations goals and objectives.* Self-motivated and directed.* Keen attention to detail.* Analytical and problem-solving abilities.* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks* Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.* Strong customer-service orientation.* Position requires sitting and or standing for extending periods of time* Standing, walking, pushing or pulling a cart, reaching overhead, bending to the floor, and occasionally exerting 20 50 pounds of force as needed to perform job functions.* Near vision acuity with or without accommodation**Formal Education & Certification*** Bachelors degree in computer related field, or an Associates degree with 2 years of experience.Who we are: D&L Parts Company, formerly known as D&L Appliance Parts, was established in 1955. As a customer, employee, or member of our community YOU, are the best part of D&L!SUMMARY: The Warehouse/Delivery Driver must be a team player who will be responsible for overseeing the activities of the branch warehouse including the accurate movement of parts and equipment into and out of the Branch Warehouse and Will Call following set D&L Parts policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:- Loading/unloading trucks, order picking, pulling product and parts, and Warehouse- Managing customer pick-ups, pulling products, and parts for counter sales.- Receiving merchandise, ensuring quantity on orders is correct and verifying inventory records through check-in and receiving process- Distributing items internally to assigned locations and individuals- Preparing orders by pulling stock from assigned bin locations, ensuring quality control in the process- Packaging finished product for customers in Will Call and deliveries.- Responsible for cleanliness and organization of work areas- Participating in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses- Back-up Delivery Associate when needed.- Back-up Counter/Customer Sales by pulling equipment from the warehouse.- Operate within Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with D&L Company Policies and Handbook, including IT policies.- Other duties and responsibilities as necessary for the business or as requested by Management.NOTE: Work Environment with fluctuating temperatures (often extreme cold/heat)Description Requirements QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, as well as possess the following:* Reliability/Dependability/Trustworthy* Work well with limited supervision* Effective communicator* Attention to detail* Ability to multitask and work well under pressure* Quick learner* Works well with others (team player)* Accuracy* Excellent follow-through (with customers & workforce)* Results-oriented* Ability to lift 75 pounds, and team/device assisted lift greater than 50 lbs* Periodic mandatory overtimeEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: ***Must Be Forklift Certified, or able to be certified within 14 days of employment*** High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of appliance parts and HVAC parts a plus. Stable, solid work history. For insurance purposes - All Applicants must be 21 years or older, possess a valid drivers license, and submit to an MVR, Background and Drug screening.
