Construction Estimator - Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:Strong Communication Skills:
Ability to effectively communicate with team members, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.Creative Self-Starter:
Capable of initiating tasks and working independently with minimal supervision.Inquisitive Nature:
Demonstrates curiosity and eagerness to understand technical aspects of construction projects.Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with interpreting and analyzing technical documents including Civil, Architectural, Structural, and Mechanical Plans and Specifications.Construction Knowledge:
Understanding of general construction systems and structures, as well as the order of construction operations.Field Experience:
Previous experience in a construction-related field is preferred.Quantity Take-offs:
Ability to perform accurate quantity take-offs from construction plans.Writing Skills:
Proficiency in writing Scopes of Work, Requests for Information (RFIs), Proposals, Clarifications, and Exclusions.Contract Review:
Capability to review and comment on construction contracts and proposals.Estimating and Budgeting:
Experience in plan and specification estimating and budget preparation, as well as conceptual estimating.Software Proficiency:
Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, Bluebeam Revu, ProCore, and other relevant bidding and estimating software.Travel:
Local and regional travel requires dependable transportation. Occasional out of town travel with overnight stays required.Requirements:
In-person, in-office required.
