OverviewEvery team member of the C Spire Crew is charged with bringing our strategic vision to life. The Network Administration team is responsible for supporting C Spire’s corporate local and wide area networks, associated infrastructure, and systems.

This team plays a critical role in ensuring the health of our retail and corporate operations.

By responding to new operational needs, determining and eliminating the root causes of problems, and working closely with internal and external vendors, members of the Network Administration team are vital to ensuring we meet our goal of being the BEST in our industry.

Job Specific Responsibilities:

Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues within the LAN, WAN, and wireless environments.

Willing to travel 25% of the time in support of our remote locations

Perform installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance for corporate network infrastructure and services.

Additional duties as assigned.

In addition, the Network Administrator III or IV:

Lead projects for improving corporate network services, implementing new capabilities, and/or remediating problem areas.

Assist network engineers and administrators in engineering and troubleshooting difficult or time-sensitive problems.

Assist other engineering teams with projects, as a direct participant, and to lend your area of expertise when called upon.

Perform installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance for corporate network infrastructure and services.

Serve as a technical mentor for other team members.

QualificationsNetwork Admin I

REQUIRED

Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

An relevant industry accepted network certification or equivalent training or practical experience required.

Minimum of 1 year of Cisco routing and switching experience required.

Basic understanding of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, or MPLS routing protocols required.

Experience working networks for small and medium organizations required.

Excellent written and oral communications skills required.

Strong analytical skills, coupled with a sense of ownership, urgency and drive required.

PREFERRED

Applied knowledge of TCP/IP, IPSec, VRRP, HSRP, or SNMP protocols preferred.

Applied knowledge of Cisco Catalyst, Meraki preferred

Network Admin II

REQUIRED

Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

An relevant industry accepted network certification or equivalent training or practical experience required.

Minimum of 3 year of Cisco routing and switching experience required.

Basic understanding of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, or MPLS routing protocols required.

Experience working networks for medium and large organizations required.

Excellent written and oral communications skills required.

Strong analytical skills, coupled with a sense of ownership, urgency and drive required.

PREFERRED

Applied knowledge of TCP/IP, IPSec, VRRP, HSRP, or SNMP protocols preferred.

Network Admin III

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of multiple of the following: TCP/IP, GRE, IPSec, VRRP, HSRP, or SNMP protocols required.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of multiple of the following: Cisco, Nexus, Catalyst, ISE, Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto, F5 BIG-IP required.

Intermediate knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS routing protocols required.

Experience working with complex networks for medium or large organizations required.

Excellent written and oral communications skills required.

Strong analytical skills, coupled with a sense of ownership, urgency and drive required.

Network Admin IV

REQUIRED

Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

Network certification such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, JNCIA, or equivalent training or practical experience required.

Minimum of 5 years of Cisco routing and switching hands on experience required.

Advanced knowledge of multiple of the following: TCP/IP, GRE, IPSec, VRRP, HSRP, or SNMP protocols required.

Advanced knowledge of multiple of the following: Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, ISE, Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto F5 BIG-IP required.

Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS routing protocols required.

Minimum of 7 years of experience working with complex networks for large organizations required.

Effective written and oral communications skills required.

Leadership Skills, Strong analytical skills, coupled with a sense of ownership, urgency and drive required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to lift 65 pounds and work with various hand tools. Must be able to sit for long periods and use computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing computer screen. Must be willing to work flexible schedule, which will include nights and weekends.
