The RoleDGM's Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) is a high growth area in our business that unlocks an electric distribution utility's ability to monitor, manage, control, and optimize the grid. As an ADMS Senior Power Systems Engineer you will be involved in all aspects of the successful delivery of systems to our customers. You will use your experience with utility operations, ADMS systems, and business processes to lead and advise utility clients as they implement ADMS solutions. As a highly skilled individual contributor, you will be a trusted advisor who is able to engage with all levels of the utility from field crews to executive management. You will have the opportunity to work with OSI functional teams including ADMS Application Engineers, the Architecture and Product Solution teams, and our Software Development organization. You will influence and provide guidance on the future direction of ADMS products and be a "voice for the utility" within DGM. This exciting role will report to the Manager, ADMS Project Consulting.
Your Impact
Lead ADMS business process reviews for AspenTech electric utility clients to understand As-Is and document To-Be process mappings.Perform contractual requirements analysis on ADMS projects identifying areas of potential concern for project teams.Leverage utility knowledge and experience to provide insight, guidance, and recommendations to ADMS clients, project teams and product development.Advocate the importance of project change management to help build knowledge and support within ADMS projects.Develop an understanding of advancements in technology and industry innovations that are happening in digitalization, analytics, security, markets, and operational technology within the electric grid marketspace.Assist ADMS project implementation teams, as needed, performing analysis, design, and test authoring.What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.Minimum of 5 years of project implementation or operational experience, preferably in the utility industry or other relevant experience.Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).Experience with electrical utility control systems (SCADA, EMS, GMS, DMS, OMS, DERMS) or experience working in utility operations or engineering support or as a business analyst.Additional Qualifications and Experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to multi-task on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment.Business Analysis and Change Management concepts and implementation.Strong commitment to providing superior customer service.Knowledge of latest industry standards and trends.
