We're seeking a future team member for the role of FX Trader to join our Buy Side Trading Solutions team with Global Markets. This role is located in Boston, MA - HYBRID.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Manage all aspects of executing complex order flow, in support of BNY's internal asset management clients and in accordance with our best execution procedures.Ensure client orders are executed in an efficient, timely, cost-effective manner, and in line with trade instructions. Work closely with peers in the middle office and with counterparties to ensure efficient and accurate booking of trades.Collaborate with the investment team, trade support, quant research, and engineering teams to evolve our trading practices and ensure efficient implementation of investment decisions.Maintain and develop constructive relationships with our internal clients, vendors, and counterparties in a bid to constantly improve our processes.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.2+ years experience in institutional trading of foreign exchange (FX) is preferred.Quantitative skillset and experience with some combination of Python, R, and SQL is a plus.Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment without compromising attention to detail or risk management.Intellectually curious, self-starter mindset - capable of grasping complex concepts and workflows and a desire to continually improve.
