Overview:
Responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor at wind turbine construction sites operating hand and power tools of all types including air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment and a variety of other equipment and instruments, cleaning, preparing sites, digging trenches, cleaning up rubble and assisting other craft workers. Responsibilities: Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures Complete all required Safety documentation Climb wind turbines and perform activities required to assist in assembly, mechanical completion and cleaning of turbines. Lift, carry and hold building materials, tools and supplies Clean tools, equipment, materials and work areas Move trucks and equipment between work areas Spend time on one job or may be transferred from task to task as the project progresses to completion May be required to travel to different jobsites on limited notice Maintain an appropriate appearance Other duties as assigned by Foreman or Superintendent
Qualifications: EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred Wanzek Climb Training- Wanzek Fall Protection LOTO Tool Raising and Lowering KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzeks Zero Injury principles Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's ability to perform these operations using units weight measurement and volume Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form Be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards MasTec, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
