Overview:
Responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor at wind turbine construction sites operating hand and power tools of all types including air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment and a variety of other equipment and instruments, cleaning, preparing sites, digging trenches, cleaning up rubble and assisting other craft workers.Responsibilities:Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and proceduresComplete all required Safety documentationClimb wind turbines and perform activities required to assist in assembly, mechanical completion and cleaning of turbines.Lift, carry and hold building materials, tools and suppliesClean tools, equipment, materials and work areasMove trucks and equipment between work areasSpend time on one job or may be transferred from task to task as the project progresses to completionMay be required to travel to different jobsites on limited noticeMaintain an appropriate appearanceOther duties as assigned by Foreman or Superintendent
Qualifications:EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferredWanzek Climb Training- Wanzek Fall ProtectionLOTOTool Raising and LoweringKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzeks Zero Injury principlesRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsAdd and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's ability to perform these operations using units weight measurement and volumeApply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral formBe able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standardsMasTec, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
