Summary and Major Function:Reporting to the AVP of Digital Health & Innovation, this role is responsible for producing and maintaining human centered digital experiences aligned with and in support of strategic goals from creation through maturity. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of digital products, platforms, and vendors in coordination with business stakeholders and operations leadership. Digital platforms can include telehealth/virtual health, patient portal, proprietary health application(s), digital intake, self-scheduling/rescheduling, virtual assistants, patient communications/reminders, etc.The Senior Digital Strategist will balance innovation with practicality, ensuring solutions align with business goals and user needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation in the healthcare technology landscape and will assist the organization in leveraging and aligning digital tools and services to meet strategic goals and metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education & Experience:•Bachelor's degree in Information Technology; Design (UX, Service, Industrial, etc.); related field required.•Master's degree in Information Technology; Design (UX, Service, Industrial, etc.) preferred.•Well versed in digital transformation services and technologies (current and emerging) Position Profile 2 such as RPA, AI, Client, Virtual & Telehealth, Wearable technology, mobile health apps, personalized medicine, etc.•Experienced in conducting qualitative and quantitative user research and applying findings into the development and design of digital health user experiences.•Proven experience in implementing digital systems/processes that have a revenue generating or cost savings impact.•Experience with designing user-centered experiences.•Understanding of core user experience concepts such as user-centered design, UX research methods, UI, Usability, etc.•Understanding of and experience with navigating the challenges of digital health tool implementation including digital literacy, internet desserts and accessibility.•Passionate about problem-solving, with demonstrated ability to identify root cause and work through challenges related to digital transformation projects.•5+ years of experience in the healthcare setting or other relevant industry•3+ years of experience implementing digital solutions aimed at providing an improved consumer experience and an efficient staff experience.•Demonstration of progressive responsibility within these areas is preferred.
Position Responsibilities•Improve user (internal staff & external patients) experience by obtaining and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, recognizing trends, recommending, and testing enhancements.•Collaborate with IT and operational leaders to ensure existing digital platforms are performing as intended. These existing digital platforms/experiences include but are not limited to telehealth/virtual health, patient portal, proprietary health application(s), digital intake, self-scheduling/rescheduling, communications/reminders, etc.•Build relationships with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to understand where manual and labor-intensive processes could and should be augmented with automation.•Have a deep understanding of existing digital tools and partners, providing operational oversight of digital solutions.•Actively work with the business to promote end-user engagement and system adoption; may assist in developing a formal communications and adoption program.•Analyze patient workflows to determine where user centered (e.g. self-serve, touchless, etc.) opportunities should be offered.•Support the creation of estimated project timelines, resources, costs, and return on investment (ROI) analyses as tied back to strategic priorities.•Be a champion for leveraging and aligning digital technologies within the organization to improve efficiencies and consumer experience.•Employ a design thinking approach to all digital transformation projects.•When needed, develop mockups, wireframes and other visual representations of proposed user interfaces, experiences and workflow
