Regional Neonatal Associates is looking for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric/Family Nurse Practitioner with newborn and resuscitation experience to staff the Level 1 nursery at Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. Full-time, part-time and PRN positions are available. Regional Neonatal Associates is a privately owned group of 8 Neonatologists. We currently employ 20 NPs through our partners at University Physicians Associates (UPA) to cover the University of Tennessee Medical Center (UTMCK) 65 bed level III NICU, the UTMCK newborn nursery and other community Level I Nurseries.Essential Responsibilities:Daily rounds on newborns including admissions and discharges as appropriateDelivery attendance when requestedFacilitation of simulation training for NRPStabilization, management and transport facilitation to adjacent NICUs for newborns requiring a higher level of careOccasional shifts at the University of Tennessee Medical Center Knoxville Level III NICU may be required to maintain competenciesAdditional job duties may vary based on locationTennova North: Level I Nursery700+ deliveries per year and growingAverage daily newborn census is 5Located in Powell, a growing suburb in North of KnoxvilleBenefitsBenefits including health care, a generous retirement account, malpractice coverage, and CME support are available to full and part-time employeesIn-house shifts with options for 24-48-hour schedulingPotential for self-schedulingOpportunity to be a part of the only designated Regional Perinatal Center of East Tennessee with a support network of dedicated physicians and nurse practitioners Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursingGraduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner ProgramLicensure and Certification to be in good standing with the State BoardNRP Certified or agreement to become certifiedMinimum one year of newborn care experience preferredResuscitation experience in the delivery room preferred
