Event Operations Assistant - Part TimeJob no: 495177 Work type: Staff Part-time Location: Indianapolis Categories: AthleticsPosition Overview The Athletics Internal Operations Event Operations Assistant position will offer administrative support to the internal operations team to manage a variety of tasks related to the successful hosting of events in all Butler University Athletics facilities. This is a part time position working Monday-Sunday, during the day and evening hours depending on the events.Game day event responsibilities include, but are not limited to:ResponsibilitiesMaintain and enhance exceptional customer service on behalf of the athletics departmentSupervise student event services staff and contract staff for eventsManagement of efficient front-of-house operations through daily communication with internal and external staffAssist and manage all game day event ops needs as neededServe as visiting team and game official hostMaintain and improve event management best practices on behalf of departmentSchedule, train and communicate all student staffing expectations and needsAgenda management and attendance at weekly staff operations meetingsCreate/update game day timing sheetsCommunicate with visiting teams and officials prior to and during visits to campusAssist internal operations team with strategic planning projects as neededRequired QualificationsEarned bachelors degree1 year of related work experienceAbout ButlerButler University is a private, nationally recognized comprehensive university encompassing six colleges: Arts, Business, Communication, Education, Liberal Arts & Sciences, and Pharmacy & Health Sciences.
