SEG/Axient is seeking a Simulation Software Engineer for the Modeling and Simulation Development Branch.What you will do...:Selected candidate will assist in the design, development, test, and verification of SEG/Axients missile trajectory and RF signature prediction simulations.The position covers the whole of the software development process, from design and implementation to testing, documentation and delivery.The highly dynamic and fast paced environment encourages speed and efficiency while maintaining product consistency, functionality and traceability.Candidates for this position will be required to learn applicable technologies and skills, and will be mentored and trained by the team as needed.
Skills you will need...:Minimum Requirements:Applicants must possess U.S. citizenship and a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a security clearance.Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aerospace Engineering or related field with a solid foundation in Mathematics and coding.No prior work experience is necessary but experience with a major programming language (C, C++ or FORTRAN) and a working knowledge of Windows/Unix/Linux Operating Systems is required.Qualified candidates will be detail oriented, highly motivated and comfortable with working independently and in a development team.Preferred Requirements:Candidate with these desired skills or experience will be given preferential consideration:Experience in modeling and simulations architecture and developmentExperience with Object Oriented Software Analysis and DesignExperience with all phases of software QA including unit, acceptance, regression and cross-platform testingDevelopment experience with IDEs (VisualStudio, NetBeans, Eclipse), debuggers and performance toolsKnowledge or experience in multi-threading (POSIX, OpenMP, MPI), SSE or GPU programmingFamiliarity with MATLAB scripting and SimulinkExperience with version-control software (CVS, Subversion, Git) and configuration management tools (Jira, Confluence, Bugzilla)XML, JSON, YAMLPython web APIs/servers (Flask, Django, etc.)API development as well as documentationExperience with scripting languages (C++, Perl, Python 2.7+, BASH)Basic systems administrationExperience working within an Agile development team#CJ
