Over 340 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball in the NWL's 31-year history.To learn more about the Bismarck Larks, visit www.larksbaseball.comThe PositionThe Social Media Manager and Digital Content Creator is responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies that align with the Bismarck Lark's overall goals and objectives. This role requires an understanding of various social media platforms, trends, best practices, and experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite. This position will oversee all social media content, engagement, and campaigns across multiple platforms to increase brand awareness, drive fan engagement, and support various revenue streams.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing successful social media campaigns using photos, graphics, videos, and written content.Roles and ResponsibilitiesManage content for all Bismarck Larks social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and YouTubeStrategize, create, and maintain engaging content through the use of photos, graphics, video, and written posts tailored to each social media platformContribute to strategies to grow social media audiences by continually building and maximizing brand awarenessAssist with the development of content for all marketing and advertising campaigns by working closely with internal departments including but not limited to: tickets, sponsorship, merchandise, events and operationsEnsure a consistent voice and brand identity across all social media channelsAbility to shoot and produce short iPhone video content for digital, social, and editorial distributionDevelop and maintain social media calendar for all platformsDevelop and maintain relationships with influencers and other relevant parties to expand the team's reach and engagementEnsure the team has an effective response strategy, responding to fan inquiries, comments and messages in a timely and professional mannerWrite and produce team coverage stories and features for use on digital and social media platformsStay current with industry (sports/social media) trends, best practices and emerging technologies to keep the Bismarck Larks at the forefront of social media growth, impact, engagement and innovation. Leverage analytics tools to increase social media effectiveness, track overall performance and compile weekly and monthly reportingOrganize and archives videos and photos throughout the seasonAssist with the oversight of seasonal media internsRepresent the team at various networking events and participate in other outside, community events, as defined by the teamGeneral Team ResponsibilitiesGame and Team Event Availability: Expected to be available for all Bismarck Larks home games and team events; this includes weekends and holidays.Funatix Event Availability: Expected to be available for all Funatix Events, including but not limited to the Mandan Rodeo Days, Bismarck Marathon, company picnics, festivals, etc. A full event list will be provided. This includes weekends and holidays.Game Day and Event Hours: Expected to be available from mid to late morning through the end of the game and event. The schedule will be decided by the direct supervisor on a homestand and event basis.Non-Game Day/Event Hours: Expected to attend office hours of 8 AM-5 PM each weekday during season and out-of-season.Other General Team Responsibilities May Include: Cleaning and organizing the press box and other ballpark areas.Assist with ballpark set-up and tear-down before-the-season, after-the-season and during each homestandAssist with event set-up and tear-down at team eventsHelp maintain ballpark cleanlinessAll other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong understanding of social media platformsProficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) Proactive planner with a sense of urgency, creativity, style, and attention to detailConfident decision-maker to execute campaignsPassionate creator who can develop content with little guideline or instructionAbility to produce and edit multiple projects simultaneously and independently and produce high-quality output within specific time constraints and in a fast-paced environmentStrong understanding of social media, trends, and creative writingStrong marketing and content strategy developmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize and think strategically The ability to work extended hours upwards of 14 hours and lift 30-50 lbsEnthusiastic team player with strong leadership skillsMust be a self-starter with a desire to work hard and have a positive "can-do" attitude Uphold our core values: Best, Uplift, Nerve, Teamwork. All vacation requests are to be received at least two weeks prior to needed time off. Vacation time is discouraged from April 1- September 1 due to in-season responsibilities.
