Job SummaryB&A is looking for a Business Analyst to join a contract with a federal government client] in support of an important mission. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a great team while supporting the United States Customs and Border Protection.
ResponsibilitiesStakeholder Interaction: Engage with stakeholders and team members to understand requirements, research issues, and document effective solutions.JIRA Administration: Create user stories and tasks in JIRA and assist in the administration of JIRA to streamline project workflows.Customer Interaction: Interact with customers and end users to gather information, address inquiries, and ensure alignment with project objectives.Process Management: Assist in managing the team's processes to facilitate the smooth progression of work, ensuring deadlines are met.Team Collaboration: Foster effective communication within the team and with coordinating teams to enhance collaboration and synergy.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in business or project analyst roles within a technical team.
Required Skills
Experience with SDLC projects using Java and Angular.Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.Detail-oriented approach to documentation and process management.Excellent diplomacy and communication skills with clients and technical staff.Proactive approach to relationship building with business team members.Strong self-organizational skills.Experience with Jira or a similar project management tool.Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean practices.Proven ability to quickly grasp business functions and technical environments in new projects.
Desired Skills
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification/training.Understanding of database structures and SQL.Active federal government clearance.
Security Clearance
Active DHS, CBP or Top-secret security clearance required.
