Overview
In the role of a Technical Consultant, you will consult with customers on a broad range of geospatial and IT topics, often working autonomously to apply Esri technology best practices throughout the engagement life cycle. You will consult with customers to understand business needs and guide them on how to best apply Esri products/technology. You will configure and use Esri applications to meet specific business outcomes and be considered a subject matter expert on front-end, web-based technologies and a generalist on Esri`s product landscape, including desktop and mobile applications.

We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and ultimately deliver transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. ResponsibilitiesWork closely with customers and partners to identify, design, and validate key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platformApply platform configuration best practices and provide on-site and/or remote support to customersUnderstand how Esri technology integrates/interfaces with customers` solutions visionFamiliarity with our customers` overall mission and operations including knowledge of common goals and initiatives, procurement cycles and business processesAdvise customers regarding innovative solutions using Esri technology and content that will enable them to make better decisionsRecommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions; and work with customers to prepare implementation and migration strategiesPresent complex GIS technical demonstrations to various levels of staff in a diverse range of customer organizationsUse consulting skills to lead teams during all phases of implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deploymentRequirements
5+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilitiesProfessional experience designing, implementing, and/or administrating enterprise GIS solutions/systems that leverage the ArcGIS platform (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online)Programming and scripting experience with Python and SQLKnowledge on database administration for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP HanaKnowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts such as spatial analysis, map projections, and moreAbility to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical project managers or customersBroad system administration experience on Windows and/or LinuxFamiliarity with network concepts and topics (such as domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies)Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented and cloudAbility to travel up to 25%Bachelor`s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM related fieldRecommended Qualifications
2+ years of professional experience administrating and/or customizing GIS-related technology in a professional setting involving Python and SQLKnowledge of GIS integration with other enterprise systems (such as ERP, EAM, CRM, SCM)Energy, Utility, Mining, or Government Industry experience idealOne or more industry-standard IT certifications (such as Esri, CompTIA, Microsoft, Amazon)Working knowledge of modern web technology including web servers, web browsers, HTTP methods and tools such as FiddlerExperience with modern software implementation patterns including service-oriented architectures, cloud environments, SAML and OAuthFamiliarity with system design concepts such as high availability, disaster recovery, load-balancing, and workload separationExperience with emerging technologies such as IoT, real-time and big data analytics, containerization, and AI/MLExposure to performance assessment and tuning techniquesMaster`s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM related field

$74,880-$150,280 USD
