Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Analytic Consulting in Enterprise Analytics & Insights, this position will manage and conduct a variety of analytic and reporting efforts for Capella University's enrollment / ops, academics, learner support, and financial aid functions. The Associate Manager will work directly with stakeholders across Capella and with the Sr. Manager and other analytic leaders to deliver actionable insights to drive business and academic priorities. This position may also be asked to support other SEI businesses as needed, especially as relates to Capella or Strayer.

JOB DUTIES:

Associate Manager, Enterprise Analytics & Insights for Strategic Education Inc. at its facilities in Herndon, VA. Manage and conduct a variety of analytic and reporting efforts for Capella University's enrollment / ops, academics, learner support, and financial aid functions. Create, coordinate, develop, and implement strategic plans for research and analytics for Capella, from enrollment through learner outcomes. Work collaboratively within Enterprise Analytics & Insights and cross-functionally across Capella and SEI to implement relevant research priorities to improve learner success and operations. Improve the culture of data-informed decision- making through alignment of research metrics and timely communication of relevant insights. Collaborate with IT reporting teams to develop and improve enterprise reporting architecture to display research & analytical results. Monthly travel to corporate locations is required. Eligible for telecommuting from home within reasonable commuting distance from Herndon, VA. Open to multiple positions.

REQUIREMENTS : Bachelors in statistics or math or related field. Experience must include four (4) years post-bachelor progressive experience in all of the following: Leading primary research and analytic activities and presenting to and partnering with executive stakeholders; Oversee the implementation of new processes and procedures, including new data systems, across the team to improve effectiveness and efficiency of work products; Management responsibilities: hiring and selection decisions, performance management, discipline and coaching, compensation decisions, employee development, 1:1 meetings with employees, team meetings, department meetings; Comprehensive background and skills in statistical analysis, machine learning, hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and data mining. Interpret and analyze complex data sets, draw conclusions, and make data-driven decisions; Designing, implementing, and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests; Education Industry Experience; Lead a team of analysts in leveraging data to improve student outcomes, optimize educational programs, and increase operational efficiency; Use analytics to address business challenges, improve processes, and enhance business performance; Data visualization tools to communicate complex results; Statistical programming languages Python, R, and SQL, statistical software SAS and Excel; Managing complex analytics projects from conception to completion. Project management methodologies and tools; Communicate complex statistical concepts and analysis results to non-technical stakeholders in the education sector.

Other:

Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise. For most roles travel would not be common. Travel may involve plane, car or metro.
