What You Will Do:
We are seeking a Lead Quality Auditor! As The Lead Auditor at Astronautics you will be in charge of performing all first party audits, those of Astronautics' personnel to our released processes and procedures, and second party audits, those of Astronautics’ suppliers as well as those by our Customers and certification authorities such as the Federal Aviation Administration and AS9100 registrars.
How You Will Do It:
Lead and Perform audits of AS9100, FAA Certified Repair Station, customer and regulatory quality management systems.
Perform audits of internal departmental processes and procedures
Train internal auditors to maintain their competence.
Prepare process personnel for audit activities by reviewing, obtaining, and ensuring the compliance of evidence presented.
Identify and facilitate the corrective action process. This includes; coordinating investigations, implementing activities, and auditing for effectiveness.
Coordinate and preparation of Quality Management System reviews.
Review customer requirements for applicability. Participate in project launches and program reviews.
Facilitate and coordinate process improvement for Quality Management System and Enterprise Resource Planning. (ERP)
Participate in supplier management activities
Coordination, collection, and analysis of Quality Objective and Key Process/ Product Indicator (KPI) metrics.
Coordinate teams to review, create, release, and maintain the audit process, corrective action, and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain detailed evidence of applicable activities to show compliance, implementation and effectiveness.
What We Look For:

A minimum of an Associate degree in business, science, or engineering from an accredited institution.
At least 5 years of quality assurance experience in an avionics/aerospace environment.
Must be detail oriented and possess communication, organizational, analytical, and PC skills.
**Desired:
**
A Bachelor degree in business, science, or engineering from an accredited institution is desired.
Experience with ISO9001/AS9100, FAA MIDO and FSDO quality management systems and auditing preferred
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
Knowledge of quality tools to conduct root cause, corrective action, and continuous improvement analysis.
