Information System Security Engineer ISSE

COLSA Corporation is seeking Information System Security Engineers who wish to submit their resumes for future positions at Redstone Arsenal. The Information System Security Engineer will support the operation enhancement and sustainment of an enterprise level network environment.
**
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
· **Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and/or integration of a DOD IA architecture, system, or system component for use within CE (computing environment), NE (network environment), and/or enclave environments
· Participates in the identification, development, and implementation of the Information Assurance (IA) Controls, to include technical, procedural, and documentation requirements as described in DoD and Army requirements and guidelines
· Manages a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.
· Performs research and a nalysis at all levels of total system product to include concept design, fabrication, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
· Implements encryption, penetration testing, and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies.
· Provides full assessments of system's security posture.
· Performs security testing to verify cyber security integrity of the system. Designs and recommends mitigations.
· Evaluates and makes recommendations designed to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in the security program.
· Integrates architectural features into existing infrastructures and designs cyber security architectural artifacts.
· Provides architectural analysis and relates existing system to future needs and trends.
· Develops security policies and procedures to be applied across multiple system architectures. **

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or an information technology field
10 years demonstrated recent relevant experience in the cyber security or information technology sector with a combination of:
5 years of experience in performing information assurance and security engineering in the information technology industry for systems or networks
3 years demonstrated recent relevant experience performing information assurance and security engineering in the DoD to include demonstrated recent relevant experience with the RMF process
Must meet DoD 8570.1 minimum certification requirements IAT-III/IAM-II (CISSP or CASP+ CE)
Active Secret clearance; US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s Degree
