In an increasingly data-rich environment, threats to our country are harder to detect and require applications that can visualize and analyze live data as quickly as it arrives. We are looking to add a geospatial data scientist to our team of motivated software developers and geospatial analysts to help make the customer’s vision a reality.Your Career:

You will have the opportunity to work closely with leadership to help set your own goals and ensure you are on a path to achieving them.We offer:Conference attendanceCorporate partner industry trainingPeer groupsPaid certificationsEducation reimbursementStudent loan forgivenessFlexible Time OffTenure bonus based on using required clearance on-siteDay-to-Day with your Colleagues:Conducting analysis and visualization of live data across a wide range of regions and topics to provide insight and early detection of anomalies.Contributing to the content, design, and maintenance of a web application that ingests live data and provides visualization and analytic tools to identify intelligence anomalies.Provide data visualization using applications such as Tableau, Arc Suite, or similar software.Applying knowledge and experience using geospatial/data science analytic methodologies and principles to understand intelligence issues.Use critical thinking skills to investigate data and unlock unique insights from varied datasets.Working closely with other analysts, government task leads and analysts, and Project Managers in a team environment to enhance the mission.Provide repeatable analytic code examples, such as those in python notebooks or similar technology, for use by sponsor analysts.Minimum Requirements:US Citizen with Current/active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Data Science, Geography, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.Minimum 5 years’ experience in data science, geography, computer science, mathematics, GIS or related discipline.Experience working with visualization software packages such as Tableau.Experience with SQL queries and visualization of large datasets.Experience with geospatial software packages such as ArcGIS, ArcPro, QGIS.Preferred Requirements:Experience with PostGIS/PostGRES or willingness to learn.Experience with AWS terminology or willingness to learn.Experience using Python.Experience with Data Science methodologies.Experience with Python notebooks.Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is: $131,000.00 - $219,000.00 annually.Maxar Technologies
