We're currently recruiting a Part Time Family Medicine Virtualist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Froedtert Virtual Inception Health department. Position is remote / work from home opportunity - WI Residents Only.
The Froedtert Family Medicine practice is very collegial, collaborative, and consultative with exceptional support staff. The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network is a partnership between Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin supporting a shared mission of patient care, innovation, medical research, and education.
Our health network operates eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma center engaged in thousands of clinical trials and studies. Enjoy autonomy with the benefit of a large hospital system and an academic affiliation with the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Summary
The Virtualist is a dynamic, highly motivated, and innovative Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner leveraging the latest technology platforms to virtually provide seamless, coordinated care while committed to an exceptional patient care and experience. The scope of practice is primarily ambulatory-focused and includes both adult and pediatric patients. Workstreams supported by the Virtualist include, but are not limited to enterprise care coordination, transitional care management, home care, remote patient monitoring, post-acute care, and digital platforms.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A minimum of 3 years of adult clinical experience in a primary care setting is required.
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Preferred focus on adult medicine, including inpatient, outpatient primary care, family medicine coverage, home health, pediatrics, and urgent care medicine.
EDUCATION REQUIRED: A Master's degree in nursing from an accredited Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Program.
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Passion for innovation in healthcare delivery. Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Experience in telehealth or virtual care preferred. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHRs).
LICENSURE REQUIRED:
For Nurse Practitioner: Requires current WI Registered Nurse License or Muti-State Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing is required. Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or National Certification Corporation (NCC) is required. Medicaid and Medicare (PECOS) enrollment and DEA registration are required or must be eligible to obtain.
For Physician Assistant: Bachelor's degree in physician assistant studies is required. Bachelor's degree in physician assistant studies is required. Current State certification as a PA; current DEA. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent is required upon hire. Medicaid and Medicare (PECOS) enrollment and DEA registration are required or must be eligible to obtain.
