Tax Partner

Responsibilities:Possess strong technical skills in partnerships, C-corporations and S-corporations (knowledge in individual taxation a plus)Possess strong technical skills in partnership taxation related to real estate entities, in a thorough understanding of Section 1031 exchanges, real property trade or business elections, Section 163(j), and knowledge of state-specific issuesProvide effective consulting, planning and compliance for your clientsResearch and document tax issues and identify planning opportunitiesTop-side/detail review of tax returns, tax workpapers and tax projectionsResponsible for being the lead of the engagement team, and responsible for having direct contact with client and manage all aspects of client accountsWork to expand client base and display strong business development abilitiesParticipate in industry or service line-related organizationsCoordinates with team to ensure timeliness and effective communication for proper planning of projectMentor, train and supervise staffMaintaining knowledge of new tax laws and general business trends that affect the clientQualifications:

CPA, JD, or EA license requiredMasters of Tax or LLM preferred12+ years of public accounting experience, including 7+ years of supervisory experienceTop 25 accounting firm experience preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCapable of managing multiple client engagementsA track record of building and sustaining client relationships and high-quality client serviceExperience representing clients in front of the IRS and state agenciesHighly motivated to succeed and be part of a high-performing teamOutstanding analytical, organizational and project management skillsProficient with CCH Axcess, Sureprep, BNA Income Tax Planner, CCH AnswerConnect, RIA Checkpoint, XCM and Microsoft Office
