As the Business Development Lead, you'll expand and grow our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) portfolio. As a strategic growth leader, you're responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within DHS. This role requires a deep understanding of DHS's mission, priorities, and procurement processes. The successful candidate will leverage their network and expertise to drive growth and achieve business objectives.

What you'll do:

You will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence and driving organic growth within DHS. Leveraging your existing relationships and cultivating new ones, you will promote MetroStar's brand and offerings while identifying and capturing new business opportunities. Your responsibilities will include:

Nurturing and establishing customer relationships across DHS to increase MetroStar's brand awareness and drive business growthConducting regular office calls with DHS leadership, program management teams, and acquisition officials, with a focus on USCIS, ICE, CBP, and TSAIdentifying, qualifying, and supporting the capture of new business opportunities within DHS, maintaining a robust sales pipelineCollaborating with the DHS delivery team to develop and implement account plans, new business pipelines, and client call plansDeveloping a deep understanding of MetroStar's capabilities, technology, and business objectives to design and execute effective growth strategies and client engagementsFacilitating teaming opportunities with other industry partners and staying informed about the competitive landscapeParticipating in DHS industry events to network and showcase MetroStar's offerings

What you'll need to succeed:

Existing customer relationships across DHS, and the ability to leverage those relationships to create organic and new business growthIdentify, qualify, and support a robust pipeline of new business across DHS; this includes ownership of the DHS account plan (in coordination with the delivery team), new business pipeline, and client call plansMaintain a 3+ year sales pipeline of qualified business opportunities by consistently identifying and qualifying new opportunitiesAbility to quickly build personal, in-depth knowledge of MetroStar's capabilities, technology, and business objectives. Use this knowledge to design and execute creative and differentiated growth strategies and client engagements as well as influence future capability development effortsConduct introductory and ongoing meetings & briefings with various DHS Component leadership and management teams, as well as program-level and acquisition officials - with a focus on USCIS, ICE, CBP, and TSABring existing business relationships with other industry partners to facilitate teaming and thorough awareness of the competitive marketParticipate in and garner strategic insights that influence pipeline maturity from DHS industry eventsHave 10+ years business development experience working with DHS and client relationships
