Job DescriptionCorporate Tax Staff Accountant will be primarily responsible for U.S. tax compliance, including preparation of federal and states income tax returns, calculation of estimated taxes/extension as well as processing all income tax payments. This position will also be assisting in responding to tax notices and audit information requests and conducting basic tax research as needed. Further, this position will be assisting in the preparation of the income tax provision calculations. This position will gain exposure to interact with various other business departments of the group companies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Prepare US federal consolidated corporate income tax returns (Form 1120) and state income and franchise tax returns and relevant workpapers, including book-tax adjustments, state apportionment workpapers, and consolidation workpapers.Prepare quarterly estimated income tax and extension calculations.Process tax payments in a timely manner.Prepare/assist quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations under ASC740.Prepare/assist responses to various tax notices and tax audit information requests as needed.Prepare tax sharing schedule/calculations pursuant to the internal tax sharing agreement annually for the group companies.

Ability to pay close attention to all the aspects of one's tasks, carefully examining every detail.High level of proficiency in OneSource or similar tax return preparation software required.Intermediate level of proficiency in tax research on CCH, RIA, or BNA required.Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required to create workpapers, schedules, and reports from original source documents.Intermediate level knowledge of federal and state income tax laws, including those applicable to consolidated/combined returns.Strong analytical skills and ability to read tax laws of various tax jurisdictions.
Experience and SkillsEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Tax or other relevant discipline from or equivalent in any related field.EXPERIENCE AND WORK REQUIREMENTS
At least three (3) years of related experience in public accounting, preferably Big 4 or a mix of public and industry.Knowledge, Certificates, Licenses, Registrion
CPA is a plus.MST, LLM or JD is a plus but not required.Proficient in ASC 740 income tax provision calculations.
