GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Technical Specialist 1 to work with the Power Generation Business Sector on primarily renewable energy projects and when needed other regional projects. GAI Consultants, Inc. offers its employees, upon approval by supervisors, the ability to work remotely or in a hybrid setting, and this position is eligible for a sign-on bonus. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment that will utilize their college education and past work experience to develop professionally into a well-rounded engineer with the ability to grow in today's environment. The successful candidate will be working out of the Richmond, VA, Warrenton, VA, or Pittsburgh, PA offices and will perform both design and monitoring tasks under the supervision of a licensed professional engineer.Job Duties:Site Grading PlansErosion and Sediment Control PlansStormwater Management PlansHydrologic and Hydraulic / Drainage PlansUtility Design and Relocation PlansMaintenance and Protection of Traffic PlansGeotechnical InvestigationsPermit Applications (earth disturbance permits, building permits, land development plans, high occupancy permits, etc.)Access Road Section DevelopmentConstruction Drawings, Specifications, and Quality Control PlansConstruction Cost EstimatesOwner's Engineer Support During ConstructionField InvestigationsDaily/Weekly Construction InspectionsEarthwork Construction Quality ControlCompaction TestingConcrete TestingESC InspectionsSWPPP InspectionsEnvironmental Monitoring

General CharacteristicsPossesses foundational engineering concepts through undergraduate-level education.Acquires basic knowledge and develops basic skills through mentored experience.Applies learned knowledge and skills to perform assigned tasks.Performs routine technical work which does not require previous experience.Understands and complies with ethical codes.
