Let us discuss how food is at the center of everyone's healthy life!Description:The Director of Corporate Partnerships is a member of the Institutional Partnerships team, working closely with the Senior Director of Institutional Partnerships and the Coordinator of Corporate Partnerships to engage the private sector in funding CAFB’s mission-critical work through philanthropic grants, cause marketing promotions, employee engagement campaigns, and more. CAFB currently has 40+ partners contributing $10K or more.The Director will be directly responsible for maintaining and expanding a portfolio of companies that raise a minimum of $2 million annually. They will be focused on companies that give (or have the capacity to give) at the high five- and six-figure levels. In collaboration with others, including the Institutional Partnerships team, executive leadership, and program directors, the Director will identify new funding opportunities and build new partnerships for the organization. They will be responsible for the entire revenue generation lifecycle, including research and outreach, crafting concepts and pitches, writing and submitting proposals/grant applications, and managing partnerships, including related reporting and renewals.The Director will work in partnership with the Senior Director to develop and implement a strategy that will significantly grow private sector support for the food bank over the next five years. They will supervise the Coordinator of Corporate Partnerships.Essential Functions:Corporate Partnership Development – Percentage 50% (20 hours per week)Oversee prospect research, working closely with the Coordinator to develop and deepen the pipeline of prospective private sector partners across the region, with a focus on tapping into companies with a presence in Northern VirginiaConduct proactive outreach to potential partners to obtain meetings, pitch ideas, and submit partnership proposalsSupport the CEO and other executive and senior leaders in new business development efforts, including research and outreach, organizing meetings, preparing briefings, and moreIdentify external opportunities to network and showcase CAFB as the backbone of the region’s hunger relief infrastructure; participate (or facilitate the participation of colleagues) in meetings and external events that highlight CAFB’s innovative approaches and impact in the communityAccount Management – Percentage 25% (10 hours per week)Cultivate and manage a portfolio of existing partnerships (contributing five- and six-figure gifts), providing top-quality stewardship; collaborate with colleagues across the organization to fulfill partnership deliverables, including but not limited to programmatic milestones, communications support, and employee engagement opportunitiesIdentify new areas of potential alignment to explore and grow engagement and financial support from existing partnersWork with the Manager of Institutional Giving to manage relationships with select corporations who support the food bank through Feeding AmericaCollaborate with the Senior Director on engagement plans for CAFB’s top 10 corporate partnersCorporate Vertical Strategy & Management – Percentage 15% (6 hours per week)Collaborate with the Senior Director to develop a strong value proposition, partnership structure, and strategy that effectively engages existing partners and excites prospective partners with the goal to substantially grow private sector revenue over the next five yearsSet annual portfolio revenue goals in line with the larger organizational strategy and budget; accurately project, track, and communicate progress against revenue goalsWork with the Coordinator of Corporate Partnerships to develop and implement a strategy to maintain and increase workplace giving and matching gift revenueWork closely with the Coordinator of Corporate Partnerships and Donor Services team to ensure timely and correct donation processing and prompt acknowledgement of funding receivedUtilize Salesforce to track leads and pipeline progressManagement & Leadership – Percentage 10% (4 hours)Supervise the Coordinator of Corporate Partnerships, providing structure and guidance to meet revenue targets and opportunities for learning and professional growth/developmentStay up to date on trends in corporate social responsibility, cause marketing and employee engagement (workplace giving, matching gifts, and volunteering)Support the team by effectively managing your workload (planning/prioritizing activities, developing the structures/tools to achieve team goals, etc.)Model the behavior you wish to see in others; energize the people around you, foster engagement, and create a trusting atmosphereQualificationsRequirements :Bachelor’s degree requiredAt least 7+ years of relevant business development, fundraising, or marketing experience; past experience managing and growing non-profit/corporate partnerships requiredExpertise in one or more of the following: corporate social responsibility (CSR), philanthropic grants, cause marketing promotions, sponsorship, employee engagement (giving campaigns, matching gifts, volunteering, etc.)Experience and proficiency utilizing Salesforce (or similar) donor database/CRMProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and ExcelThis position requires a person skilled in leading private sector fundraising for a large regional social service organization and negotiating complex relationships both internally and externallyPreferred Qualifications :Action-oriented and goal-directed individualOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and manage superiors, peers, and external stakeholders to achieve resultsExceptional writing skills with ability to translate complex needs into clear and compelling proposalsExcellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills;Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects and relationshipsWorks well under pressure;
