Position Summary The Digital IT Technical Specialist (Level 1) will play a critical role in our business transformation journey which involves migration from legacy systems to industry 4.0 and enterprise digital systems like MES (SAP ME & DMC, GE Proficy), MOM, SCADA, and connected operational technology withing discrete, batch, and continuous manufacturing process domains. Digital and IT Technical Specialist

(Operations & Quality) will have excellent analytical skills to understand and meet business requirements, solve problems using best practices and standard IT solutions. This is a hands-on systems/data analysis and technical role, that collaborates with the business users, technical teams, and vendors for solution implementation projects. You will play a champion role in identifying business requirements, analyzing current state business processes and systems, mapping requirements to future state system capabilities, and configuring, training, implementing, and supporting enterprise solutions. The role will also be responsible for maintaining/supporting one or more systems supporting manufacturing operations and enhancing/maintaining future state systems post project implementation. Typical methods and tools used include conducting root cause & corrective actions and working with business stakeholders and IT teams to drive improvements.

Responsibilities: Lead/Define Manufacturing Execution implementation strategy for Parker Hannifin, gather functional requirements, design and prototype, test, train, define support procedures, implement solutions. Build and maintain a enterprise center of expertise (CoE) for manufacturing IT systems and softwares to provide guidance and support for operating groups, divisions and sites. Actively engage with business partners by eliciting requirements, conducting workshops, consulting solutions and design Conduct & document business process analyses, modeling, needs assessments, and cost/benefits analyses to align IT solutions with business initiatives. Translate business requirements into technical solutions either through direct, hands-on configuration or development, or collaboration and oversight of integration partners and 3rd party technical resources. Lead implementation of enterprise initiatives & actively participate in High Performing Teams, project reviews, facilitate meetings with business partners, and provide updates to leadership on deliverables and work status. Work with division IT, Group IT, CoE, and other corporate IT teams (DevOps, enterprise architecture, middleware, security, etc.) to translate business requirements into functional/technical specs. Develop, document, communicate, and validate business and technical requirements. Ensure all are met during the project delivery process. Perform system testing and oversee user acceptance testing. Create, review, and deliver end-user documentation (user guide, process flow charts, training materials) and training for accuracy. Create operational documentation and KPI metrics. Perform system, interface, and batch monitoring and provide L2 production support, and work with vendor/development team for issue resolution. Perform root cause analysis for the business problem by performing system and transaction analysis. Understand database/table structure to query and analyze data to answer and support business queries. Drive Master data governance by engaging the business users and establishing standard instructions. Drive core Agile processes like story creation, backlog refinement, and product demos and facilitate agile ceremonies like stand-up, sprint planning, etc. Apply continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems to increase efficiency, drive customer service and reduce costs. Lead Change: Persistently move in the face of ambiguity, dilemmas, and resistance to get completion of changes in an organized way; adapts with flexibility to and copes with changing situations while maintaining focus on goals. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership. Experience with Systems/capabilities like MES, SCADA, and ERP systems Critical thinking, Problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Experience planning and/or coordinating network connectivity for plant floor /operational technology Knowledge of application and system integration methods and computing environments Project Management Business process management & modeling Stakeholder relationship management Ability to simplify & standardize complex concepts / processes. Business requirement elicitation and requirement documentation SDLC / Waterfall / Agile / Stage gate frameworks Understanding of future/emerging technologies

Qualifications: This role is subject to Export Control Restrictions (ITAR) and all applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee. Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer science, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field required, master's preferred. 8-10 + years of professional business process analyst and/or technical systems analyst work experience required. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing industry domain - discrete manufacturing required. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated evidence of analyzing systems and documenting complex business processes and system flows. Preferred Experience: Experience with digital transformation in manufacturing particularly on the convergence of OT and IT Functional knowledge and hands-on experience with Manufacturing Operations Management (MAM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Operations Efficiency and Effectiveness (OEE), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Experience leading implementation projects of manufacturing IT systems (SAP ME and/or SAP DMC, GE Proficy, Ignition/Sepasoft, Tulip, etc.) Experience participating on and leading small teams and cross-functional teams delivering new or improved functions in manufacturing execution and automation systems. Hands-on experience with RDBMS & SQL Hands-on and Migration experience with/from legacy to updated technology (e.g. mainframe-based, or local/ on-prem to SaaS or PaaS) Preferred Skills: Experience with data reporting tools: Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services Proficiency using Azure DevOps Experience with MS Power BI, Data Flows, Data Marts, MS Power Automate PMP, CBAP certifications Apply Now >
